Achates Roadshows

Achates Roadshows are an exceptional programme of in-person support for cultural sector colleagues offering 45-minute one-to-one sessions, pro bono, in different regions throughout the UK.

At these roadshows, you have the chance to come and talk to us about the challenges and opportunities you’re grappling with in your cultural organisation. The time is yours to use in the way that’s most valuable to you, whether that be to talk through your current priorities, explore opportunities, discuss the problems you’re tackling, or to ask for advice.

In early 2024 we will be coming to Birmingham. More information on this will be available in the New Year.

Past Roadshows

Bristol

In October 2023 four members of the Achates team, Director of Recruitment and Organisational Change, Vicki Grace, Associate Director of Strategy, Lucy Oliver-Harrison, Senior Consultant, Helen Gaffney, and Development Manager, Cordelia Milward, held a roadshow in Bristol. Kindly hosted by Bristol Old Vic, organisations based in the South West were able to come along and chat with the team and network with each other. With Helen and Cordelia based in the South West, we were able to provide some truly insightful and first-hand experiences of the cultural landscape of the region.

Leeds

In July 2023 two members of the Achates team, Director of Recruitment and Organisational Change Vicki Grace and Director of Development Deborah Larwood along with Director, Caroline McCormick, held a roadshow in Leeds. Generously hosted by our friends at Opera North in their restaurant and bar, Kino, Northern based organisations were able to book some one-to-one sessions with a Director and were invited to join us for drinks at the end of the day and meet with colleagues. With Deborah living in the north of England herself, we were able to provide some direct insight and grounded experience of the cultural landscape of the region, its triumphs and challenges.
