Case study:Achates develops Strategy: The Photographic Collections Network

PCN worked with Achates to help us change our governance structure and sharpen our mission statement. They were excellent partners to help us think through new ways to ensure that we were an organisation on strong footing for the future. It was a pleasure working with Achates – and they were professional and adaptive to our needs throughout the whole process. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to any organisation thinking about doing similar work.

Dr Geoff Belknap

Achates was invited to work with the Photographic Collections Network (PCN) as they reviewed their constitutional and operational model. Achates worked with PCN’s team and Advisory Board to clarify its audiences and to create a statement of purpose and a narrative summary of a theory of change. Alongside this, analysis was conducted for potential governance structures and what a revised membership offer might look like. In going through this process, it was possible for the Advisory Board to understand and make a decision regarding the best model that would support PCN’s work in the future.
