In spring 2025, Achates Recruits and Brings Change worked with the Federation of Scottish Theatre (FST), the membership and sector support body for professional dance, opera and theatre in Scotland, to recruit a new Chief Executive Officer. Following a recent strategic review this was a critical placement to lead this important sector support organisation into the future.

Working closely with the Co-Chairs, we led a rigorous search engaging with candidates from across the full breadth of Scotland’s cultural sector. Focusing on FST’s key criteria for an individual who could drive the organisation forward in achieving its purpose to advocate for and support the development of performing arts in Scotland, we delivered a strong candidate pool with a breadth of experience for the Co-Chairs to take forward to interviews which resulted in the appointment of a highly experienced candidate who brings drive and expertise to this hugely important role.
