In summer 2025, Achates Recruits and Brings Change worked with the Almeida Theatre, one of the most important forces in British theatre, to recruit their new Development Director. With leadership transition underway as new Artistic Director, Dominic Cooke, and Executive Director, Ros Brooke-Taylor were announced in June and September, this was a crucial appointment.
We led a meticulous search with the Almeida’s key criteria in mind. The organisation’s reputation and the appeal of a role offering so much scope in terms of ambition and leadership, meant we spoke to many interested candidates, and the role itself secured among the highest number and quality of applicants in Achates Recruits history. The competitive interview process, supported by Achates, resulted in the appointment of a highly experienced Development Director who brings drive and creativity to this hugely important role.
